Veteran Denver Business Journal Energy Reporter Cathy Proctor called it quits this week — creating an even deeper void in the ranks of experienced energy journalists in Colorado. Proctor is moving to the Denver Water Board where she will help with the agency’s communications. In a fond-farewell message, Former Denver Post Energy Reporter Mark Jaffe lamented the current state of energy journalism in Colorado.
Hey all. It’s late & last story is filed. I’m out. Will miss everyone @denbizjournal + the energy, transportation, nat resources crews. But I’m not going far: rolling for @DenverWater, and might still share amusements @cathyproctor123 Take care.

Say it ain’t so. I mean I know it is so. Now there really isn’t anyone keeping an eye on energy in Colorado. Denver Water’s gain is the Centennial State’s loss.
